Katherine L. McArthur

Focusing her practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death litigation but also possessing extensive workers\' compensation experience, Katherine L. McArthur is the founder of the McArthur Law Firm. From the firm\'s office in Macon, Georgia, she provides representation to area residents who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence or recklessness of other parties. The types of matters that she has successfully handled, both in front of juries and during settlement negotiations, have arisen mostly out of incidents involving medical malpractice and truck and other motor vehicle crashes.

Over the years, Ms. McArthur and her associates have recovered more than $250 million in settlements and verdicts. Her sizable recoveries on behalf of her clients have resulted in her being a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. She has received other acclaim from her fellow professionals as well, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 \"Superb\" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, Ms. McArthur has been certified as a specialist in civil trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and she has been selected for inclusion in both The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 and The Best Lawyers in America.

Admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, Ms. McArthur is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She has delivered numerous presentations on topics related to her practice areas to groups of fellow attorneys. Ms. McArthur is a member of several professional organizations, and she is a 1979 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law.
