John Hadden is an experienced trial and appellate litigator practicing in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, insurance, and business litigation. John has appeared as both lead counsel and amicus curiae in numerous cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Georgia Law Review. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice, where he has served on the Board of Governors for the New Lawyers Division and the Amicus Curiae Committee, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, where he is chair of the the Amicus Curiae Committee and a frequent speaker at its seminars. John Also serves on the board for the Atlanta Bar Association\'s Litigation Section (as treasurer) and Solo Practice and Small Firm Section (as member-at-large). John is a 2011 graduate of the State Bar of Georgia\'s YLD Leadership Academy, past chair of the YLD\'s litigation committee, and current chair of the Atlanta Trial Lawyers Association. John\'s litigation experience spans hundreds of cases and includes representing individuals, businesses, and insurers, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal courts in matters involving corporate disputes, catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death, insurance disputes, and asbestos litigation.
John is author of three treatises on Georgia law: Green\'s Georgia Law of Evidence, Georgia Magistrate Court Handbook, and Georgia Law of Torts - Trial Preparation and Practice, all published by Thomson Reuters Westlaw.
John is admitted to practice before all Georgia trial and appellate courts (Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court), as well as all federal district (trial) courts in Georgia (Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, and is chairman of the board for the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault.
