Jeffrey Mykkeltvedt

A founding member of Mykkeltvedt & Loftin, LLC, Jeffrey Mykkeltvedt provides representation to clients in Atlanta, Georgia, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Mr. Mykkeltvedt focuses his practice of law in the areas of plaintiff\'s personal injury, commercial vehicle liability and premises liability. He litigates a wide variety of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, negligent security, wrongful death and other types of personal injury cases in which families and individuals have suffered catastrophic setbacks. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of West Georgia in 1992, Mr. Mykkeltvedt earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law and gained admittance to the Alabama State Bar in 2000. In 2003, he was admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia. Mr. Mykkeltvedt clerked for the Honorable Marvin W. Sorrells, former chief judge of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, before entering private practice in Atlanta. From 2003 through 2007, Mr. Mykkeltvedt cultivated experience in high-profile cases as both a defense attorney at Hawkins & Parnell, LLP, and a plaintiff attorney through an associate position at Peter A. Law, P.C. He formed his current firm in 2011. Mr. Mykkeltvedt is licensed to practice law before the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern districts of Alabama and the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Northern districts of Georgia. A member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, Mr. Mykkeltvedt has served his fellow professionals through the co-authoring of an article that was published by the Defense Research Institute in 2005.
