Grant E. McBride is an attorney at Smith Welch Webb & White in McDonough, Georgia. Mr. McBride has several years of experience handling civil appellate work, eminent domain cases, governmental litigation and school litigation matters. He also practices general civil litigation and has experience with bankruptcy, business matters, consumer protection litigation and landlord-tenant cases. A successful litigator, Mr. McBride has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients. One of his cases resulted in a favorable ruling by the Supreme Court of Georgia that broadened the ability of individuals injured by dogs to obtain legal relief. He has represented clients before institutions, including the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, the Georgia Department of Education, and the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings.

Mr. McBride earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from New York University, graduating magna cum laude. He graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law. While completing his law degree, he served as editor of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and gained legal experience clerking for an Illinois Fifth District Appellate Justice. Before his legal career, he worked in the education and media fields.
