Douglas N. Peters

Doug is nationally recognized for his expertise in the defense of citizens accused of crimes against children. The Wall Street Journal  and  The New York Times list Doug in Best Lawyers in America, and The Atlanta Journal Constitution listed Doug in Georgia’s Best Lawyers and named him the “2013 Georgia Lawyer of the Year” for Non-White-Collar Criminal Defense.  He is the author of The Defense of the Child Molestation Case in Georgia, lectures nationally and locally, and serves as keynote speaker for his annual Georgia seminar on child abuse defense.  Doug is the past president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and was the sixth lawyer in the association’s 35 year history to receive the Reese Smith Achievement for Excellence Award.
