A passionate advocate for the civil rights of all individuals, Areti Georgopoulos is an attorney with the Harmony Law Firm and represents those in Minnesota in matters of civil rights. She believes that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, fairness and dignity in the workplace, and she fights for workers from all walks of life.

Ms. Georgopoulos is admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota, and before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Minnesota Supreme Court. Presently an adjunct professor for the University of Minnesota Law School, she has authored publications for the Bench & Bar of the Minnesota State Bar Association. She is also a frequent speaker on legal issues, speaking to organizations such as the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.

A magna cum laude graduate of Brown University, Ms. Georgopoulos then moved on to law school at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor. While in law school, she was the Executive Editor of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. She is frequently considered a leader of employment attorneys and a mentor for young lawyers.

Ms. Georgopoulos is a board member of the Employee Lawyers Association of the Upper Midwest, treasurer and board member of the Minnesota chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, a member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, Inc., and co-chair of the Hennepin County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Within the Minnesota State Bar Association, she is also a member of the Labor and Employment Section.
